Historique :	La salle où fut signé l'acte de reddition du 7 mai 1945 était la salle de guerre du quartier général du général Eisenhower installé après la libération de la ville dans les locaux du collège technique de Reims. Dans cette salle étaient rassemblés sur des cartes militaires toutes les informations concernant les positions des différents fronts. En entrant, on remarque à droite une grande carte des dépôts d'approvisionnement. Ensuite, près de la fenêtre, c'est une carte des chemins de fer, au fond des cartes indiquant les positions des combattants, puis une série de cartes sur les mouvements aériens. Au centre de la salle se trouve la grande table où fut signé le 7 mai 1945, à 2h41, après deux jours de négociations avec les plénipotentiaires allemands, la reddition totale sur l'ensemble des fronts (front russe compris). Les chaises et le ventilateur n'ont pas non plus changé depuis le jour de la signature. C'est donc l'ensemble de l'aménagement qu'il convient de protéger.
